Street Sweeping
All of our streets are swept by the City the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. Please be sure your cars are off the streets.
Trash Pickup
Between East 51st Street and Victory Drive, garbage is picked up each Wednesday. Between East 52nd and East 55t Streets, garbage is picked up each Tuesday.
Items NOT permitted in the street include swept or bagged leaves, grass trimmings, piled tree limbs, broken appliances, or other trash.
Corner lot residents can be especially helpful by supplementing the city’s efforts to keep leaves and trash out of the drains. You can also help by removing signs on power poles which are illegal and “litter on a stick.”
Recycling
For a list of items that can and cannot be recycled, please consult the latest guidance from the City of Savannah.
Items requiring special handling:
- Medical waste or pharmaceuticals
- Lead, acid batteries, tires, liquid waste, paint, pesticides, and herbicides
